English language challenges

Imagen
This year it has been a very pleasant experience learning English at the university, the presence of the classes and also the methodology and friendliness of the teacher has helped me to motivate myself to learn English. In the online classes I was very discouraged when learning English, I saw the classes as an obligation and I was not willing to learn a new language. In addition to the fact that it seemed like a waste of time, because in addition to all the things of the u, I also had to learn a new language. Based on the above, this year I have realized the usefulness of the course and the tools it provides as a future professional. The use of the blog has helped me to put into practice new words and material taught in classes, as well as to reflect on certain topics that are not regularly present in my day to day life. As in countries that I would like to visit, what I would like to do in a few more years, topics that in addition to motivating me to learn English, I really woul...

Changes to my study programme

In general, I wouldn't change much about the Psychology curriculum, the aspects to study fascinate me. The only thing I would do is take statistics I and II out of the grid, just because I hate math, but unfortunately it's important for doing research. I would change the structure of FACSO, it seems very old and nostalgic to me, but since we hold classes in the classrooms (which are very nice) it is not very important. The chairs that are attached to the tables are VERY uncomfortable, hopefully a notebook will fit - that would change completely. When it comes to technology, it doesn't bother me how it is right now. Teaching methods seem to me to be something super important, because if a teacher has a good method he can turn a boring class into a great one, but unfortunately the opposite also happens. Sometimes by covering a lot in class, they make it very dense in matter and it is not possible to understand it well. But the other subjects of this semester, Social Psycholo...

Time travel to the past or future

Imagen
I would travel to the past, obviously to meet the musician Gustavo Cerati, I deeply admire him. I love his music both as a soloist, as in his group Soda Stereo. His music inspires me in multiple emotional and artistic processes. Perhaps in the year 2000, to go to his concert, I would also meet the writer and artist Pedro Lemebel, I would love to have a conversation. He would also travel to the past to meet the singer Mac Miller. I would also love to experience what life was like before technological gadgets, experience getting together with someone without knowing where they are going or if something happened to them that they will not be able to get together, not being able to search for information immediately. I would also like to visit old communities and learn about their worldviews and religious beliefs. I would travel to the future just out of curiosity to see what I do in the future, what I do and how life changes unexpectedly. See what the people I love are doing right no...

my dream job

My dream job is to work in the circus world, I like most of the circus disciplines but the one I like in particular is acrobatic movement, capillary suspension or aerials. I would love to travel the world practicing what I love and showing discipline, since body arts cut across languages, that is, you don't have to speak the same language to know what the person wants to express. In terms of profit, I hope I have enough money to be able to pay for my daily life and to travel -being realistic- because circus work is the most precarious and despised in terms of art. My dream is to study performing arts in France or Belgium. I currently take classes in my spare time, but clearly that is not enough. The career I am currently studying (psychology) fascinates me. I would love to unite the two disciplines in a work focused on children from vulnerable sectors from the perspective of social or community circus, but in a more adult and artistically experienced stage at approximately 40 year...

My best vacation

By far my best vacation was this summer at the end of February. I went with my partner and friends, we had a great time. We went to Tabo for 4 days 3 nights, we rented a cabin an hour's walk from the beach - it was a bad idea - we woke up super late at approximately 12:00, we cooked, we washed the dishes, we bought snacks to eat on the beach and we left . There we listened to music and shared -I didn't bathe because the sea terrifies me- then we got to the cabin, bathed and shared a few drinks. I laughed a lot and also relaxed, as I was very stressed because I had worked as a promoter. The bad thing about the trip was that the water on the beach was too cold and I put my feet in it and they hurt to the bone. As a fun fact we got covid-19 and I had to spend my birthday in quarantine. But I don't regret anything honestly

A country you would like to visit

Imagen
I would really love to visit France, it's a beautiful aesthetic country, plus Ratatuille was inspired by the country so it makes it really perfect. In truth, the things I know about the country are very basic -because I saw them in a fashion cliché series- but I feel that it is a place where art is given real value and from what my colleagues have told me, it has a fabulous school. to learn different disciplines of the circus, I would love to meet her and study there. What would be completely difficult for me would be to learn the language, which sounds beautiful. But getting to know France is a childhood dream (ever since I saw the best Disney movie; Ratatuille) I was so excited to be able to eat a croissant, listening to jazz in the background and seeing the Eiffel Tower

A SUBJECT I ENJOY STUDYING

The topic that has caught my attention the most within what I have been in my career is undoubtedly the "Attachment Theory" seen in the classes of basic psychological processes, in classes it was difficult for me to take notes because I preferred to focus on understanding the Concepts seen that were essentially social needs, psychological needs, attachment theory, among others ... The topics seen in class caught my attention because it highlights the importance of childhood in the processes that are going to be faced as an adult and also the complexity of the mind. In addition, the classes taught by Professor Juan Wilson were very interactive and the matter was explained in a very detailed way to facilitate the understanding of the various topics seen in the classes.
